Reality is an installation of light and sound that occupies space as both presence and provocation. It invites the visitor to sense the shifting boundary between what is directly experienced and what is mediated through technology. In a time when perception is shaped by screens, algorithms, and curated identities, Reality creates a space where the physical and the virtual coexist in quiet tension. It does not seek resolution but instead offers a heightened awareness of how we inhabit the world when the line between witnessing and living becomes increasingly blurred.
In the first situation, the reality is lived: thanks to an optical system that prevents camera usage, it is not possible to take pictures.
On the contrary, in the second it is mediated: the only way to access it is through a smartphone (AR) that elaborates the spatial relations. Thus it is possible to take pictures of what is in the screen and people have to watch it in order to live the experience.
The third situation can be lived or mediated: it is a temporary modification of reality that happens randomly, without warning. Therefore the visitors have to wait, and when it turns on, they have to make a choice: take a picture or live it.
The modification is achieved through a combination of projections and sounds, which act on the perspective of the room creating a disorienting effect on the visitors.
